The Wild Card Universe
The Wild Card series includes 25 novels and 20 short stories about an alternate Earth where an alien virus gives ordinary and normal people superpowers. The alien virus is named the "Wild Card" virus; some use their powers for good, some for evil, and some are left with weird mutated forms!
Wild Card's take on super-powered beings is unique and is a departure from regular stories of superheroes vs. supervillains.
George R.R. Martin will continue to be a part of the Wild Card series and is happy to join the comic book industry, Marvel Comics.
The first miniseries in the Wild Card series, The Drawing of Cards, is planned to debut in June 2022.
