The new Amazon's Lord of the Rings series takes place in the second age of Middle Earth, which is hundreds of years before the events in Peter Jackson's movie trilogy.
Amazon Prime Video will release The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on 2nd September 2022.
Based on J. R. R. Tolkien's acclaimed work, the ambitious Amazon series can showcase events from various timelines from "The Silmarilion," which comprises key events like Sauron's rise, Númenor's fall, and forging of the rings of power.
The Lord of the Rings spinoff series will be a visual spectacle and the budget of season one alone is reportedly $400 million!
